## Hosted relay or private relay

### Takelan-hosted relay

- Traffic goes through Takelan infrastructure.
- Your plan's bandwidth and request allowance applies.
- You get warnings at 80% and 95% of the allowance.
- Hosted traffic is paused at the limit unless you upgrade.
- There are no automatic overage charges.

### Customer-hosted private relay

- Traffic goes straight through your own relay.
- Payload bandwidth does not count toward Takelan's hosted allowance.
- The subscription pays for management, domain and certificate automation, routing configuration, security and platform services.
- Reasonable platform API, abuse-prevention and support limits still apply.

### Which plans can I use today?

Free is available today. Personal, Pro, Business and Enterprise are marked coming soon, and there is no purchase flow yet. Use Notify me to tell us which plan you want.

### Are the plan limits enforced?

Limits shown are the plan allowances we are launching with. During the launch period they are not enforced.

### What does annual billing save?

Annual prepayment gives you 2 months free: Personal $50, Pro $150 and Business $290 per year.

### What happens when I reach the hosted traffic allowance?

You get warnings at 80% and 95%. Hosted traffic is paused at the limit unless you upgrade. There are no automatic overage charges.

### Does traffic through my own private relay count toward the allowance?

No. Payload bandwidth through a customer-hosted private relay does not count toward Takelan's hosted allowance. The subscription pays for management, domain and certificate automation, routing configuration, security and platform services.
